Divorce Doesn't Have to Be a Battle. If you and your spouse have already worked things out, you shouldn't have to pay for a courtroom fight. Brittany Blau Law offers a streamlined, affordable divorce service for couples who are truly on the same page — so you can close this chapter with clarity, dignity, and as little stress as possible. Simple process. Flat fee. Real legal guidance.
WHO QUALIFIES
Is a One-Attorney Divorce Right for You? This service is designed for couples who have genuinely reached full agreement — no lingering disputes, no pressure, no unresolved issues. You may be a good fit if:
✅ You and your spouse agree on all terms — property, debts, and finances
✅ You have no minor children together, or you've fully agreed on custody, parenting time, and child support (we can help with the calculation)
✅ You're both committed to completing the process cooperatively
✅ You just need someone to handle the legal paperwork correctly and get it done
This service is not the right fit if:
There are disputes about property, children, or support that still need to be resolved
One spouse feels pressured or uncertain about the terms
There's a significant power imbalance or history of domestic concerns
Not sure if you qualify? Reach out — we'll be honest with you.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Reach Out - Contact our office at [email protected] or fill out the contact form on our contact page to schedule a consultation. We'll ask a few questions to confirm this is the right service for your situation.
2. We Gather the Information - Before your consultation, you'll complete a straightforward intake form covering the basics — names, dates, assets, debts, and any agreements about children or support.
3. We Prepare Your Documents - Attorney Brittany Blau will draft all required court filings, including your Petition for Dissolution, Settlement Agreement, and any required parenting or support orders. The Court filing fees are included in our flat fee.
4. Review & Sign - You'll review everything before anything is filed. We make sure you understand what you're signing and that the paperwork accurately reflects your agreement.
5. Filing & Final Decree - We file with the Clark County court on your behalf. Once the mandatory waiting period has passed, your divorce can be finalized — often without either of you needing to appear in court. Indiana requires a minimum 60-day waiting period after filing before a divorce can be finalized.
FAQ/Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same as a DIY divorce? No. With a DIY divorce, you're on your own navigating court requirements and legal language. With our service, a licensed Indiana attorney prepares and reviews all your documents to make sure everything is done correctly the first time.
Does Brittany represent both of us? No — and it's important to understand this. Brittany represents one spouse only. The other spouse participates as a self-represented party. This is standard for one-attorney uncontested divorces, and it works well when both parties are in full agreement and no one needs independent legal advice.
What if we have kids? You can still use this service if you have minor children together — as long as you've fully agreed on custody arrangements, parenting time, and child support. Indiana courts require specific findings and orders when children are involved, and we'll make sure everything meets those requirements.
How long does it take? Indiana has a mandatory 60-day waiting period from the date of filing. Many uncontested cases are finalized shortly after that window closes, depending on court scheduling.
What does it cost? We charge a flat fee for uncontested divorce services. Contact us for current pricing — we'll give you a clear, upfront number with no surprises.
What if things get complicated? If a dispute comes up after we've started the process, we'll let you know right away. We can discuss options, including transitioning to full representation or referring the other spouse to independent counsel. We never pressure anyone to push through an agreement that isn't right. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
